Hanna is a nonbinary and queer Korean-American social worker and therapist. Their past work includes increasing student access to higher education and residential eating disorder treatment. All their various identities and lived experiences inform the way Hanna shows up in the therapy space.
Hanna believes everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space to process and explore, whether they are healing from difficult life events or simply taking a pause to reflect on their life. Their approach to therapy is honest, anti-oppressive, and person-centered; their perspective is informed by intersectionality, queer theory, critical race theory and racial justice, transformative justice, and disability justice. They draw on interventions from ACT, CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, CPT, mindfulness and psychodynamic theory. Hanna deeply believes in holistic care, where the biological, psychological, cultural, sexual, and spiritual aspects of a client are given equal consideration and attention.
Hanna would love to be an active collaborator and supporter of your goals. They work to create a non-judgemental space where you can introspect freely and find empowerment on multiple levels: as both an individual and as an interbeing who can bring transformation into their community. They especially appreciate working with folks who are curious, open-minded, and willing to meet themself exactly where they are in their journey.
